ACVP Diplomate Membership

Veterinarians who successfully complete the ACVP certifying examination are accepted into the organization as Diplomates. Diplomate membership is maintained by paying annual dues. ACVP membership is good through June 30 (regardless of date of payment for the previous membership year) and must be renewed annually. Payment may be made by logging into  your membership record on the ACVP website.

There currently are more than 2,500 board certified ACVP Diplomates. Only members certified by examination, and complying with MOC requirements (for those certified in 2016 or after) are eligible to use the title Diplomate, ACVP, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Pathologists, or abbreviated Dip. ACVP. 

ACVP Diplomate Reduced Rate Membership

Reduced Rate Membership is available to individuals who have passed the certification exam but remain graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or residency trainees. Contact ACVP to request Reduced Rate Membership. Be sure to upload a letter from your department chair or program coordinator verifying your current status.

ACVP membership is good through June 30 (regardless of date of payment for the previous membership year) and must be renewed annually. Payment may be made by logging into your membership record on the ACVP website. To renew at the reduced rate for an additional year while still in one of the above-listed programs, contact ACVP again to upload a current letter from your chair or coordinator.

ACVP Emeritus Membership

ACVP members who have retired from the practice of pathology and are no longer earning a living performing the tasks or receiving compensation for pathology-related activities may request emeritus membership. To do so, please complete and submit the   Emeritus Member Application.

While Emeritus Members are not required to renew their membership annually, they are encouraged to keep their membership profile and contact information current via membership profile update to ensure continued access to member benefits and ongoing communication with the College.

 

ACVP Trainee Affiliate Membership

Individuals with a veterinary degree who are in a Veterinary Pathology training program and not yet ACVP-board certified can apply to become an ACVP Trainee Affiliate Member or a joint ACVP/ASVCP Trainee Member.

ACVP membership is good through June 30 (regardless of date of payment for the previous membership year) and must be renewed annually. Payment may be made by logging into your membership record on the ACVP website.


ACVP Allied Professional Affiliate Membership

Persons who are qualified, by virtue of training and/or experience, and are actively involved in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, molecular pathology and/or pathology informatics through administration, teaching, or research, or work in the biopharmaceutical industry, or are engaged as scientists or professionals in areas related to pathology, are eligible for election as Allied Professionals.
