Nominations due by March 1 of each calendar year. Distinguished Member recognition A Diplomate of the College who has rendered exceptionally distinguished service to the College or who has contributed in an exemplary manner to veterinary pathology may be selected by majority vote of the Board of Directors to be a Distinguished Member. A person so honored shall have all the rights and privileges of membership.
The ACVP Nominations Committee invites “members in good standing” to submit nominations for Distinguished Members of the College. The nomination packet for Distinguished Members must include:
Honorary Member recognition A non-member who has contributed in an extraordinary manner to the advancement of veterinary pathology may be elected to Honorary Membership by a majority vote of the Board of Directors, and confirmed by a majority vote of the membership of the College. Honorary members have all privileges of membership except the right to vote or hold office or sponsor an ACVP examination candidate, and are exempt from dues payment.

To avoid disappointment in the event that a nominee is not selected for this award, it may be advisable not to inform the nominee of the nomination. Candidates may be re-nominated, and packets may include previous nomination information, but a complete packet must be submitted for each year that they are nominated. Please include all completed information in one submission.
